В мире инстаграма уже давно появились отдельные жанры. Один из них — фотографии многослойных макияжей, показанных крупным планом. Реалистичность и носибельность отходит на второй план: прежде всего это, конечно, искусство. Таков, например, блог девушки по имени Шеннон, домохозяйки и убеждённой феминистки, которая много времени посвящает макияжу. Её фотолента притягивает в первую очередь благодаря разнообразию идей: среди созданных Шеннон мейкапов есть и минималистичные произведения вроде аппликаций из целлофана и карандашной стружки, и сложные растяжки цвета и красиво прорисованные линии.
